Located just off the casino at Pechanga Resort, this elegant steakhouse is a welcome refuge from all of the bells and whistles outside its mighty doors. It’s a popular spot among hotel guests for a romantic dinner or a spontaneous splurge for big winners; locals visit for special occasions, and it’s not unusual to see business meetings here as well. Servers are consummate professionals. The rich lobster bisque with Cognac cream is a good place to start, though the house chopped salad --- a mix of cucumbers, tomatoes, hearts of palm and red onions --- is the more sensible choice, given the focus on USDA Prime beef for the main courses. Seafood selections, such as delicate Alaskan halibut, are solid, but red meat really is the way to go, with cuts like lean filet mignon and hearty rib-eyes and porterhouses. Compelling sides include white truffle risotto and the garlic fries. Among popular desserts is the American classic bananas Foster. The wine selection goes way above and beyond local picks to include top international producers.
