Green Field Steakhouse Restaurant Review:
Dae Kim’s grandiose Brazilian churrascaria resides in the sleepy San Gabriel Valley hamlet of West Covina. The colorful 300-seat eatery is a branch of the Corona, Queens, original. A trademark water wall dominates the cavernous white and green space, which is accented with dark wood. Start at the buffet, featuring an array of hot and cold items like pastas, black bean stew, chicken stroganoff and fried bananas; however, pace yourself for the marathon meat fest. When you're ready, turn your wooden marker to green to signal a server to start. What follows is a parade of beef, pork, chicken and game that change often, all offering nice outer chars and juicy interiors, carved onto your plate from swords that double as rotisserie spits. If you can fathom dessert, options include flan, cheesecake and carrot cake, to name a few. No wonder there can be a weekend wait of half an hour or more during peak dinner hours.
