New Tasty L.A. Restaurant Review:
This Sichuan restaurant resides on the second floor of the San Gabriel Square mega mall. The space doesn’t amount to much, with black tables and red and mirrored walls. The tabletop pots deliver numbing Sichuan spice and an ocean of chilies. Lotus root with bean chile is a fun vegetable dish, with crunchy, thick-cut roots bombed with garlic and dried chilies. Clearly, you'll need plenty of steamed white rice and tea to extinguish the flames that will run up the sides of your mouth.
