Hummus Place Restaurant Review:
This West Village Hummus Place outpost is similar to the other locations in the city, but it’s a bit more casual. That said, the creamy hummus, made fresh several times daily, served with fluffy pita bread, is just as good. It’s available in a variety of styles: with whole chickpeas, with mushroom and onion stew, and with fava beans, tahini and egg. For a few dollars more add a side of falafel, a “health” salad, or plump stuffed grape leaves. The room is white-washed modern-spare, with cheery yellow tiles and a wall of windows that opens onto bustling Seventh Avenue.
