THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED The chef changes the menu from day to day, depending on what's good and what inspires her. She brings fresh seasonal produce, game and seafood into the mix, letting the natural flavors stand on their own instead of slicing and dicing things into a nouveau muddle. We enjoyed the carrot-orange and ginger soup. The duck rillettes with toast, cornichons and a mixed green salad is especially delightful. The cassoulet of pork cheeks, duck confit, sausage and great northern beans with tomato and garlic is a hearty fall offering. Keep in mind that all or none of these items might be present when you dine, but even if the menu is completely unfamiliar, the enthusiastic servers can guide you through the evening's offerings. Approach the house cocktail, Le Coup de Jarnac, with the proper combination of enthusiasm and caution. It's named not only after a region, but also after a French expression that loosely translates to an unexpected blow.
