THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Josef's Country Inn Restaurant Review:
Do you remember Josef’s as a German restaurant, with Bavarian-garbed waitresses serving up generous plates of sauerbraten with spätzle? Well, things have changed at this charming country dweller. A few German vestiges remain, such as weiner schnitzel and a sausage trio. But Josef’s now offers a continental kitchen, specializing in such dishes as veal Oscar, blackened horseradish-crusted Chilean sea bass, Long Island duck with sweet potato mousse and Bing cherry sauce, and pork chops McGreevy with potato-leek hash and Boursin cream, named for the restaurant’s longtime bartender. Watch for special seasonal prix-fixe menus.
