Josef's Country Inn Restaurant Review: Do you remember Josef’s as a German restaurant, with Bavarian-garbed waitresses serving up generous plates of wiener schnitzel, and sauerbraten with spätzle? Well, things have changed at this charming country dweller. A few German vestiges remain, such as a sausage trio. But Josef’s now offers a continental kitchen, specializing in such dishes as veal Oscar; blackened horseradish-crusted Chilean sea bass; Long Island duck with sweet potato mousse; and pork chops McGreevy with potato-leek hash and Boursin cream, named for the restaurant’s longtime bartender. |
