THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Kincaid's Fish, Chop & Steak House Restaurant Review:
One of the few classic fine dining options in downtown Phoenix, this clubby eatery fills up before sporting events and during its decent happy hour that runs every day from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with discounts on the otherwise expensive standards like fresh oysters, a char-grilled cheeseburger and well drinks. Diners seek big steaks (14-ounce New York with crispy buttermilk onion strings), a topnotch prime rib sandwich (served with mac ‘n’ cheese), seafood (Asiago-almond-crusted sea scallops with caramelized onions and roasted peppers in Champagne beurre blanc) and chicken (a favorite is the pan-seared chicken breast with wild mushroom stuffing, Brie, goat cheese, almonds and caramelized sweet onions). At lunch, there’s a suit-and-tie vibe but a more relaxed menu with some very pleasing choices like bacon-wrapped Kobe meatloaf, seafood Louie salad, and a hot ham-and-cheese sandwich. It's a great place to take the kids, too, given a good children's menu and private areas for rowdier rug rats.
