: This sprawling Japanese restaurant features a massive U-shaped sushi bar and a rare kushiyaki grill imported from Japan. (There are only a few in Los Angeles.) Kushiyu is a paradise for grazing. Order skewers of almost anything imaginable: asparagus, mushrooms, sea bass, swordfish, chicken with green onion, chicken meatballs, smelt and quail egg. There are also a number of deep-fried Japanese snacks, highlighted by yukari age --- a blend of scallop, chicken and shiitake mushrooms wrapped in a shiso leaf. Complement your meal with a selection from the extensive menu of select sakés. |
