![]() : Suited for an intimate date, this charming outpost occupies a 200-year-old townhouse built by Aaron Burr. (You may even find yourself dining next to celebs like Mary-Louise Parker or Julianne Hough.) Sit on the garden patio and enjoy a bite among greenery and colorful lanterns above. On offer are pastries, fresh coffee, Italian-style gourmet pizzas and more. For soup we like the minestrone or vichyssoise; the tomato and basil bruschetta is also a nice light snack, as is the caprese salad. The pizzas are delectable, especially the arrabiata, which is topped with mozzarella and spicy garlic and tomato sauce, or the Gorgonzola, mozzarella, walnuts and extra virgin olive oil. The panini are also worth a try, and don’t forget about the many desserts --- perfect for enjoying in front of the cozy fire. Specialties include mille foglie and tiramisu. In addition to beer and wine, there’s a line-up of almost 20 hand-blended flavored martinis, poured tableside in their own silver shakers. |
