La Lanterna di Vittorio Restaurant Review

: Suited for an intimate date, this charming outpost (which occupies a 200-year-old townhouse built by Aaron Burr) serves pastries, fresh coffee, Italian-style gourmet pizzas and more. For soup we like the minestrone or vichyssoise; the tomato and basil bruschetta is also a nice light snack, as is the caprese salad. The pizzas are delectable, especially the arrabiata, which is topped with mozzarella and spicy garlic and tomato sauce, or the Gorgonzola, mozzarella, walnuts and extra virgin olive oil. The panini are also worth a try, and don’t forget about the many desserts---perfect for enjoying in front of the cozy fire.
