La Loggia Restaurant Review:
This casual, intimate and cheery spot gets crowded with people from the studios. Salads, antipasti, pastas and pizzas, especially the smoked salmon with goat cheese pie, are solid choices. Start with a hearty cannellini bean and barley soup with pancetta, then move on to the ravioli stuffed with Dungeness crab in a saffron sauce. Black mussels and shrimp are steamed in white wine, and the risotto cake on a bed of fava beans, French lentils and frisée served with a roasted shallot-white wine sauce is a specialty. For entrées, expect Kurobuta pork chop, short ribs and veal osso buco. Desserts range from a coffee napoleon to torrejas, a caramelized brioche pastry with cream, honey and vanilla gelato. The restaurant offers a patio for outdoor dining.
