This restaurant may not set any culinary trends, but we've had many good meals at this San Gabriel Valley eatery offering classic French cuisine. Resembling a French country inn, with beamed ceilings and white linen-covered tables, La Parisienne serves dishes like escargots, moules marnières, coq au vin, bouillabaisse and duck à l'orange. Executive chef Daniel Durfort features intriguing seasonal game dishes, highlighted by roasted elk tenderloin with chestnut and mushroom coulis and black bear medallions prepared “Roebuck-style” with artichoke, chestnut and black currant-port wine vinegar sauce.
