THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Larder at Burton Way Restaurant Review

: The Larder concept started as an offshoot of Tavern and has since grown into a mini-chain serving a more luxurious version of "cheap eats." It's a casual way to try food from chef Suzanne Goin and business partner Caroline Styne, who also operate Lucques, a.o.c. and the culinary program at the Hollywood Bowl. However, it's not as tasty as it is convenient. Los Angeles-based designer Jeffrey Alan Marks designed the space, which is attached to the 8500 Burton Way apartment complex. Diners can eat on the spot or grab their food to go. The Larder at Burton Way offers breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and brunch on Sundays, including beer and wine and takeaway items. You'll find salads, soup, charcuterie, burgers, sandwiches and main courses ranging from tempura-battered fish tacos to buttermilk fried chicken with coleslaw and griddled cornbread. Green harissa adds flair to the ubiquitous avocado toast, which here is also served with burrata and a soft egg. House-made pastries are available if you have a sweet tooth.
