THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Le Cottage Marcadet Restaurant Review:
One can understand why Cyril Choisne has a special attachment to this place where he was once an apprentice. His subsequent positions at Ledoyen, the Plaza Athénée and Le Grand Véfour gave him a heightened vision of cuisine, which goes beyond the dimension of this modest establishment that he took over in 2005. The décor is sober and traditional, contrasting with the cutting-edge cuisine. The frogs' legs are cooked without the usual garlic and parsley, replaced by a tomato confit. The wild duck is made far tastier by adding coriander to orange. A chestnut confit, apple fondant and Le Cottage's signature chocolate dessert are also worth mentioning. Service is attentive. For lunch, expect to pay between €26 and €39; for dinner, €90.
