THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Lion Restaurant Review:

Former Waverly Inn chef John DeLucie, who is also the current top toque at the Upper East Side’s Crown, runs the show at this West Village restaurant, known as much for its expensive menu and celebrity diners as its food. Ricotta gnocchi is complemented by black truffles, and the carbonara chitarra is a well-done dish any Roman would appreciate. The Lion burger, complete with pork belly, is the lowest-priced entrée on the menu, and one of the best. But for a splurge, consider the juicy 28-day-aged côte de boeuf for two, spiked with roasted garlic. Finish the meal with the butterscotch pot de crème. The wine list is lengthy, with globally sourced bottles.
