THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Lobster Pot Restaurant Review:
This place has been around for more than 20 years, so, obviously, many people are happy with its food---that is, happier, apparently, than weve been. Its not bad, its just nothing special. Plus the place tends to get noisy and annoyingly smoky. The wood-paneled, dimly-lit bar is the centerpiece here, so dont expect a relaxing meal most of the time, even in the other rooms. Appetizers and entrées run the gamut of all the usual seafood fare with some standouts like seafood bisque, steamed mussels and barbecued shrimp kabobs. While chicken and steak both get a spot on the menu, its stars (most of which come with chunky house fries and cole slaw) are the fresh daily specials, such as grilled salmon, mahi mahi, pan-fried Lake Erie perch and walleye (both favorites in the Cleveland area), snow crab, and baby Maine lobster tails, all of which come with a good-sized house salad for a buck extra. Of the desserts, the houses Key lime pie is the most successful, but, again, not too spectacular.
