The Local Eatery & Pub Restaurant Review:
The farm-to-table menu offered at this family-friendly neighborhood spot pleases the adventurous diner, as well as those also seeking locally crafted ales and handcrafted cocktails. Full-flavored dishes include braised pork shank with carrot nage; fried pork belly with pan-roasted Brussels sprouts and butternut squash purée; and sweet potato gnocchi with roasted turnips and poached radishes in a brown butter crème fraîche. The appetizer of baked goat cheese roasted in garlic and thyme oil can become addictive, while the beet salad with whipped ricotta and roasted garlic is as attractive as it is wholesomely good. Daily brews are served in canning jars, which fits the warm, homey atmosphere. It's almost mandatory to end the meal with a seasonal crisp, served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or go for the strawberry olive oil cake topped with smoked strawberries and whipped mascarpone.
