THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Loiseau Rive Droite Restaurant Review:
This fine dining spot near the Madeleine church belongs to the Bernard Loiseau group, as does Loiseau Rive Gauche on the left bank. In a swank Art Deco setting with thick carpet, comfortable banquettes and stained-glass windows, the business clientele at lunch savors the refined cuisine of Japanese-born chef Ichiei Taguma. Ingredients are masterfully prepared in different textures and artfully seasoned. Start with a raw oyster perfumed with cucumber juice. Then follow with a delicious langoustine carpaccio enhanced with clementine vinaigrette and grapefruit oil. Likewise, the grilled beef with button mushrooms, black truffle and cottage cheese is a good bet. One of the menu highlights turns out to be an entire quail stuffed with foie gras and rare beef, accompanied with meat juice and mashed Jerusalem artichokes. Such sumptuous fare can be paired with delicate wines, suggested by a savvy sommelier. End your meal with an elaborate apple tart and green apple sherbet. Very professional and courteous staff.
