Partners Valerie Safran and Marcie Turney’s modern Mexican restaurant has a menu offering their nontraditional spin on Mexican street food. Look for multiple versions of house-made guacamole; tacos filled with pork, fried chicken or cauliflower and pickled onion; and entrées such as carne asada. Pair the food with a flight of tequila; a classic margarita or specialty versions in flavors like honeysuckle or pear-basil; or a house cocktail, such as the enervating Green Hornet, gin swirled with tomatillo-jalapeño-cilantro syrup and soda.
