Lulu California Bistro Restaurant Review:
Since opening on a prime corner swath in downtown Palm Springs, Lulu’s popularity has never waned. Chef Arturo Casillas, who has worked behind the kitchen doors of many first-rate restaurants in the Greater Palm Springs area, created a menu of appetizers, salads, panini, seafood, steak and pasta. Favorites include the New England lobster rolls, a trio of sandwiches filled with tender lobster meat, house-made mayonnaise, celery, chives and diced tomatoes. The wine list is thoughtful and features California labels like Rodney Strong and La Crema, as well as notable European selections. Craft brews are on tap, and cocktails are shaken and stirred. While other places are shuttering up for the night, Lulu’s is still going strong with visitors who want to graze and imbibe before returning to their hotels.
