Thanks to a very narrow entrance, this sexy lounge is somewhat hidden in Pasadena’s South Lake Avenue shopping district. In a collection of intimate spaces, a tin-stamped ceiling, contemporary chandeliers and comfortable lounge furniture contribute to a style-conscious watering hole with a full menu of snacks. Parties tend to share items like a mountain of onion rings drizzled with barbecue sauce, spinach and artichoke dip or fried calamari, while sipping signature martinis, mojitos or other cocktails. A short but eclectic wine list is offered as well. Sandwiches range from steak with chimichurri to a burger smothered with caramelized onions, which pairs well with a crock of mac ‘n’ cheese. Pizzas are respectable, and a slight Southern orientation appears in a stack of fried green tomatoes and corn flake-fried chicken. Desserts include apple pie and chocolate chip croissant bread pudding.
