Main Street Bakery & Cafe Restaurant Review:

On winter mornings, the windows of this quaint café steam up from all the fresh-baked bread and pastries, brewing coffee and steeping chai. In summer, windows are opened to let in the clean mountain air, and tables on the shaded patio are coveted. From sunrise to late afternoon, the place is rarely empty or quiet. In addition to such launch-the-day faves as fresh muffins, rolls and croissants, we like the breakfast quiches, cinnamon-raisin french toast and house-made granola --- especially when it serves as a topping for the yogurt-berry wrap. Lunch is all about familiar comforts: croque monsieur and tuna salad, chicken potpie and fish ‘n’ chips. But leave room for a slice of freshly baked pie or cake, or maybe a rich brownie or cookie, with or without ice cream. Wine and beer are also available.
