Marché Bacchus Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: A massive wine shop leads guests to a romantic, semi-enclosed patio with tranquil views of Lake Jacqueline at Desert Shores. The optimal time to dine is at sunset for a panoramic vista.

Food & Drinks: Offered for lunch and dinner are platters to complement wine choices, like the Bacchus with three artisan cheeses, pâté, cured meats, apples, mixed olives, dried fruit and candied walnuts. Dishes may include charred octopus with a lemon-parsley vinaigrette; escargots persillade; seared duck breast with honey-spice glaze; or roasted tenderloin of beef with wild mushrooms and red wine reduction. End your meal on a pleasantly sweet note with one of the desserts, such as warm bread pudding with toffee cream, golden raisin brioche and vanilla ice cream. Before dining, peruse the 950 wines in the shop, which are offered at half the cost of most restaurants. Any wines selected to drink with your meal are poured for a mere $10 over the retail price.
