Marché Bacchus Restaurant Review

: A massive wine shop leads guests to a romantic, semi-enclosed patio with tranquil views of Lake Jacqueline at Desert Shores. The optimal time to dine is at sunset for a panoramic vista. Chef Luciano Pellegrini (Valentino) oversees the menu, which is executed by chef de cuisine Jose Aleman. Offered for lunch and dinner are platters to complement wine choices --- chef's selection of five artisan cheeses with apples, candied walnuts and dried fruit; and the Bacchus --- three artisan cheeses, pâté, cured meats, apples, mixed olives, dried fruit and candied walnuts. The menu changes seasonally and may include charred octopus with a lemon-parsley vinaigrette; escargots persillade; seared duck breast with honey-spice glaze; or roasted tenderloin of beef with wild mushrooms and red wine reduction. End your meal on a pleasantly sweet note with one of the desserts provided by Chocolate & Spice chef/owner Megan Romano, such as warm bread pudding with bourbon cream, golden raisin brioche and vanilla custard. Before dining, be advised to peruse the 950 wines in the shop as you enter, which are offered at half the cost of most restaurants. Any wines selected to enjoy with your meal are poured for a mere $10 over the retail price.
