Addison by William Bradley Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant and décor: Addison by William Bradley is nestled in the scenic Carmel Valley hillside in North San Diego. Soft lighting, professional service, fine cuisine and opulent décor make for a sensory evening. Thoughtful attention to detail can be found in every corner, from the 22-carat gold leaf etchings in the ironwork to the inlaid limestone and aubergine marble flooring.
About the food: Chef William Bradley offers a luxurious dining experience with a menu that celebrates first-rate ingredients and pays respect to purveyors by seeking inspiration from local seasonal produce. A 10-course tasting menu is available for $385 per person. Guests might encounter Alaskan king crab complemented by flavors of coconut, Thai basil and passion fruit; barbecued pigeon with red cabbage, beetroot and blackberry; and, for dessert, yuzu sorbet with candied quince and black sesame. The cheese cart, featuring a simple but attractive and fragrant assortment, is yet another highlight of the experience.
About the wine: The wine collection emphasizes California vintages as well as newly discovered offerings from around the globe. Selections are stored in the restaurant’s renowned 2,500-bottle wine room.
