Wedgwood Broiler Restaurant Review:
In-house-ground burgers and French dip sandwiches are a couple of the enduring offerings at Wedgwood Broiler. Patrons enjoy the time warp at this neighborhood favorite that opened in 1965, from the smoked-glass mirrored walls to the muzak rendition of Stevie Wonder's "I Just Called to Say I Love You," which make this place a Seattle classic. Don’t come looking for trendy cuisine; the only hint of multicultural influences in the kitchen is the teriyaki chicken and barbecue Swiss cheese burger. But traditional fare is done right, from basic egg breakfasts to big steak dinners. There is also a selection of dinner specials, drawing in the regulars. Cocktails from the full bar are tops, and the wine list is entirely adequate. For something sweet to end the meal, order the mud pie or a hand-dipped milkshake.
