Willi’s Seafood & Raw Bar features the global small bites concept. It’s located just a block off the popular Healdsburg Plaza. Although only a handful of dishes qualify as fish in the raw, the “rolls” section refers to sandwiches not sushi, and half the menu items never learned to swim, rest assured there's something for everyone. No harm sticking to theme: limey hamachi ceviche with taro crisps will hit the spot on a hot eve on the street-side patio, as will barbecued salmon atop cool, creamy cucumbers and green beans. Venture into meats with bacon-wrapped pumpkin-seed-pesto scallops and other boldly-herbed skewers such as minted lamb and chimichurri steak. Small plates include cast-iron fish ‘n’ chips and fish tacos that are hearty enough to share. Willi’s encourages experimentation with plates and pours of wines from a tight but locally-savvy list. The vibe is trendy and swank.
