Like its sister restaurants, Mi Piace has one foot in the present and the other planted comfortably in the past. Crisp-crusted New York-style pizzas are topped with traditional ingredients like pepperoni and mushrooms, as well as California interpretations like barbecued chicken with goat cheese. Most of the pastas are predictable and uninspired and the décor at this location lacks the warmth of most independent Italian eateries or the buzz of the original Pasadena Mi Piace.
