With its understated elegance, this Old Pasadena restaurant suits a laid-back crowd looking for a comfortable setting in which to tuck into some familiar old standards. While it may suffer in comparison to Ruth's Chris or Arnie Morton's, its friendly owners provide good food at reasonable prices. Starters include French onion soup, pepper-crusted ahi and shellfish-stuffed crêpes with a rich shrimp bisque sauce. For the main event, most patrons gravitate to the solid steaks with a choice of accompanying sauces, although salmon, rack of lamb and pastas are also available.
