The Old Tavern Restaurant Restaurant Review:
The Grafton Inn opened its doors in 1801 and is one of the oldest operating inns in the U.S. The Old Tavern Restaurant is set in the atmospheric surroundings of this restored stagecoach stop, with candlelight, embroidered tapestries and artwork. Much of the wine list is composed of boutique wines that are very limited in Vermont. The menu changes seasonally and features organic heirloom vegetables and herbs that come from the garden behind the restaurant. Veal meatloaf, Vermont lamb Bolognese and a Grafton Cheese board are just a few of the local highlighted items.
