THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED One Sunset Restaurant Review:

It seems that the large lounge space at the entrance of One Sunset is shaping the destiny of the restaurant. The elegant and modern design, in brown tones, divided into four spaces, reinforces the lounge-like atmosphere with lower tables, banquettes and chairs. The young crowd comes to sip a cocktail or more, surrounded by the music of the nightly DJ. To experience the food, we recommend that you sit in the “Candle Lounge” where the back wall is covered with candles behind a metal screen, resulting in a dramatic look. Since the place is all about mingling, the menu is composed of shareable small plates---simple, easy and wallet-friendly. (Chef Chris Ennis has left the restaurant; Jason Ryczek is now at the stoves.) Go for a seafood dish, such as the ahi carpaccio, hamachi sashimi, oysters, white shrimps wrapped in bacon (not our favorite), seared scallops and clams. For a raw option you can also choose the beef carpaccio or surf ‘n’ turf tacos made with a tartare duo of beef and yellowfin tuna. Cooked meats include quail on a citrus risotto, chicken skewers, slow-braised pork or a cheeseburger made with Saga blue cheese and Gruyère. If you still want to be part of the scenery, finish with the bittersweet hot chocolate cake, the caramel fondue with apple and pear for dipping, or the Bing cherry strudel.
