The son of restaurateur Zarela Martinez does Nuevo Latino for the masses---the affordable dishes are attractive studies in bold flavor. Well-mixed mojitos, aguas fresca and margaritas are a fruity prelude to sweet plantains stuffed with bacalao, arepas topped with chorizo and tangy ceviche. Even fries are done just right, and come with an addictive house-made chipotle ketchup. Hearty main dishes run from pork chops to salmon.
