: Located in a wonderfully unique space across from Grand Central Terminal beneath an underpass, Pershing Square attempts to capture an old New York vibe with its wood paneling, deep booths and green shaded lamps on each table. The after-work crowd loves the place and by 6 o'clock the bar is three deep with suits, but once at a table Pershing Square can be quite relaxing. The menu is safe and serviceable with American fare like scallops, steaks and other uncomplicated items. The restaurant caters to a working crowd in the mornings, too, selling a selection of muffins and other breakfast items.
