Poppycock’s Restaurant Review:

Here’s where the champions have breakfast before hitting the mountain-bike trails. The no-nonsense coffee shop atmosphere, with the morning papers available at the door and a substantial breakfast-and-lunch menu, makes Poppycock’s a perennial favorite among locals and tourists alike. We allow ourselves to enjoy a big stack of the famous oatmeal-buttermilk pancakes, corned beef hash and eggs or banana-chocolate crêpes, because we know we’re going to get out there and work it off. Sometimes we take the turkado (turkey and avocado) sandwich to go in our backpack or return for a lunchtime bowl of creamed spinach-cheese soup.
