Pure Spirits Oyster House & Grill Restaurant Review

: Pure Spirits Oyster House & Grill is located in a 130-year-old former barrel shipping room in the historic Distillery District. The menu’s focus is fresh seafood, but it also features warming interpretations of various comfort foods. The Jim Grande burger comes with familiar fixings like bacon, pickles and American cheese --- not to mention a chocolate shake on the side. Meanwhile, traditional macaroni and cheese gets non-traditional treatment with smoked salmon and fresh seafood. Other mains include potato-crusted local halibut served with corn purée, Tuscan kale and wild mushrooms; Ontario raised rib-eye; and pappardelle with lobster and black truffle cream. Guests can also enjoy a variety of oysters, with select ones priced at $1.50 each all day on Tuesdays. The wine list features local vintners, and there are beers from Mill St. Brewery next door.
