THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Real Food Daily Restaurant Review

: This outpost of Real Food Daily offers the same vegan cuisine as its other locations but with the addition of a decadent yet 100 percent healthful weekend brunch. An awning in cobalt, fire truck red and lime stripes sets an immediate tone as though to say that beyond the frontage, a bold, unique and exciting dining experience is to be had. The interior, a calm beige with accents in the exterior's bold tones, is highlighted by natural light from two walls of plate glass. Although just steps away on either side other restaurants shamelessly flaunt their temptations, from burritos to Chocolate Chunk cookies, within the Real Food sanctuary the emphasis falls on a healthier kind of fuel, food that is at once delicious and completely wholesome. The menu is fairly basic and, unlike many health food establishments, focuses on the tastes and textures unique to vegetable-based foods rather than attempting to imitate meat meals. We love the Ciao Bella mushroom sandwich and barbecue tofu chop salad. But the brunch menu is where this Real Food outdoes itself. The tofu omelets are a true surprise. Shaped like an egg version, a tofu shell is stuffed with either vegetables or vegan cheese. The pancakes are some of the best whole grain flapjacks we've ever tasted. At brunch, there are even mimosas from Champagne mixed with Real Food's delicious o.j.
