The Red Inn Restaurant Review:
The Red Inn, Provincetown's leading special occasion spot, features contemporary New England cuisine. Regulars come for the raw bar featuring Wellfleet oysters, littlenecks and local lobster as well as the view. This picturesque inn's dining room is perched on the waterfront with a wall of windows to showcase the views from Cape Cod's tip. Menu offerings are seafood heavy with dishes like lobster and artichoke fondue and scallops with citrus beurre blanc. There are also traditional American entrées such as a house-smoked, braised pork shank and a savory bread pudding with shiitake mushrooms and fennel. The wine list is somewhat limited but offers a fair selection of wines by the glass to pair with any entrée. Lunch focuses on simple sandwiches and fried seafood. On Sundays in summer, a jazz brunch menu offers an enticing mix of breakfast favorites and seafood-oriented lunch items, like a fried oyster sandwich and shrimp and grits.
