THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Rialto Restaurant Review:
RIALTO CLOSED AFTER SERVICE ON JUNE 23, 2016 --- The flagship restaurant at The Charles Hotel in Harvard Square offers chef Jody Adams' sophisticated flavors of Italy. The attractive venue is appropriate for a celebration or special occasion. Adams streamlined her kitchen to focus on a regional approach to Italian cuisine with starters like yellowfin tuna crudo, roasted beets or tomato-braised octopus. Pastas and grains have always been at the forefront of Adams' cooking, but she also produces grilled Tuscan steak, whole crispy trout and her signature slow-roasted duck with braised escarole, fingerlings and Sicilian green olives. Order the four-course tasting that starts with antipasto and moves on to dishes like Bolognese and roast baby chicken. (There is also a vegetarian version.) Add to all this a varied and constantly evolving wine list. Be sure to indulge in the warm flourless chocolate cake, ricotta cheesecake or hazelnut gelato. A more casual and less expensive bar menu is available, too. Service is unobtrusive.
