SEA: The Thai Experience Restaurant Review

: SEA originated in New York City, where it has two locations, and expanded its Thai fusion concept to Bally’s Las Vegas. The Bangkok-inspired modern design delivers a Zen-like décor and a tranquil ambience achieved through a reflecting pool, subdued lighting and natural wood tables and benches. A large Buddha statue adds to the authenticity that is joined by traditionally prepared Thai and Vietnamese dishes. The crispy taro pork roll is an addictive mixture of pork, shrimp, lettuce and fish sauce. Rib-eye salad includes cucumber, mint and red onion with a chili-lime dressing. We also like the pad thai, a choice of chicken, beef, duck, shrimp or tofu and rice noodle, egg, peanut, scallion, bean sprouts and tamarind sauce. The sauté section of the menu is well represented by Queen of Basil --- two-tone bell pepper, chili, onion and spicy basil sauce with a choice of chicken, shrimp, beef, roasted duck or tofu. Finish with the fried banana with coconut-pineapple or vanilla ice cream topped with peanuts and chocolate sauce.
