Chef/owner John Howie offers seafood dishes both innovative and classic (steak is available, too) at Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar. Glass bubbles hang from the ceiling and bring an aquatic feel to the space, which encompasses a dining room and an area dedicated to the sushi bar. Starters include scallop ceviche with mango-kiwi relish and ahi poke with sesame oil dressing. Salads are seasonal and soups are rich and creamy, as in the Dungeness crab and sweet corn bisque. For dinner, honor Pacific Northwest traditions and feast on apple wood-grilled king salmon. Another signature is the Parmigiano Reggiano crusted halibut, which might be accompanied by creamy russet hash, green beans, butter sauce and lemon-chive oil. For a lighter meal, investigate the elegant raw bar serving ultra-fresh oysters, sushi and ceviches. Desserts range from a fruit crisp to white chocolate-coconut cream pie.
