Sushi 101 Restaurant Review

: Situated in a modest strip mall, Sushi 101 is one of those secrets the locals keep (101 refers to its location next to the freeway, not to a freshman level sushi experience). An assortment of sashimi on a bed of rice, chirashi is a good starter that’ll help you decide which of the day’s fish is best. Alongside, try the seaweed salad, a trio of the ocean’s non-swimming bounty, dressed with ginger and ponzu. The chalkboard presents an array of both surf and turf specials. If you opt out of seafood, chicken katsu is a solid choice. For a twist on dessert, go for a refreshingly sour finish instead of sweet --- ask for an ume roll, a simple cut roll of rice and nori with a bit of sour plum inside. Or try the green tea ice cream if you must take the sweet route.
