Sushi Eyaki Restaurant Review:
In an area just east of the Miracle Mile, with influences from nearby Koreatown, this mini-mall sushi bar is a favorite with locals. A modest, sparely decorated establishment, it offers a black-lacquered sushi bar beneath hanging parasols and a small collection of tables hugging a wall decorated with bamboo. The menu offers an extensive selection of specialty rolls, tempura, teriyaki and noodle bowls. The sushi is generally respectable, but in a city so rich in good sushi, it is discouraging to be served toro that looks and tastes no different than standard-issue tuna. But overall, the sushi chefs accommodate customers with good portions and sufficient quality. Stick to the generously portioned rolls and you will not be disappointed.
