: This Mexican restaurant offers a festive setting for enjoying quality favorites. Try the soft tacos made with grilled corn tortillas and a choice of fillings: beef, chicken or pork. Burritos are built with flour tortillas and may be ordered "wet," meaning smothered in a vibrant sauce. Prawns in their shells are sautéed in butter and garlic or cloaked in a chili sauce. We also recommend the chicken in a spicy pipian sauce thickened with ground green pumpkin and sesame seeds. On weekends, there's menudo, the famous Mexican tripe and hominy soup, traditionally eaten as a hangover cure for those who have overindulged on margaritas. Be forewarned that the adjacent cantina hosts a very lively evening scene on weekends. |
