Tacos Guaymas Restaurant Review: The Green Lake location of this family-owned group of Mexican restaurants offers a festive setting for enjoying quality favorites. Try the soft tacos made with grilled corn tortillas and a choice of fillings---chicken, chorizo, barbecue pork, beef cheeks, brains or tripe. Burritos are made with flour tortillas and can be had "wet," meaning smothered in a vibrant sauce. Prawns in their shells are sautéed in butter and garlic or cloaked in a spicy chili sauce. We also suggest the chicken in a spicy pipian sauce thickened with ground green pumpkin and sesame seeds. On weekends, there's menudo---the famous Mexican tripe and hominy soup---traditionally recommended as a hangover cure for those who have over-indulged on margaritas. Be forewarned that the adjacent cantina hosts a very lively evening scene on weekends.
