THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Think Bistro Restaurant Review:

The Impressionist portraits of Albert Einstein and the Dalai Lama that hang on the wall at Think Bistro aren't there because either is known primarily as a gourmet. This cozy café with a small bar in front offers well thought-out dishes. Think New York steak with a choice of green peppercorn or wild mushroom sauce; sand dabs with lemon-caper butter sauce, unusual in Southern California; and rack of lamb with couscous. There are even some compelling pasta dishes---penne pesto with sun-dried tomatoes and pine nuts or linguini in spicy marinara sauce with calamari, rock shrimp and other sea creatures. Almost everything is well-balanced, and the café hums along for the benefit of a mostly local crowd. This restaurant and downtown San Pedro's Think Café are both owned by a wine merchant, so the selection, both by the glass and bottle, is unusually good and modestly priced. For dessert, don't skip the lemon Charlotte cake---if it's not sold out.
