This is the place to order meat, red meat that is. On a big Santa Maria-style oak grill near the entrance, the chefs cook beautiful Angus filets and tri-tips, searing the outside and lending a seductive smoky flavor. Alaskan king crab legs, also done on the grill, are the other stars of the show. The crowd consists of mostly locals of all ages in blue jeans and khakis, who appreciate the laid-back atmosphere and whopping portions of food. The décor is upscale log cabin, with maritime prints to remind you that the Pacific is just a few blocks away. For dessert, we always give in to the dense, super-chocolaty brownies, served warm with cool crème Anglaise.
