: Wildfish’s San Antonio location offers diners fresh fare and knowledgeable service in a setting that’s dark, dramatic and, at the bar, occasionally even boisterously loud --- especially during the happy hour. The house specialty is fish flown in from all over, and it’s well showcased in appetizers such as the ahi tartare and the Maine lobster tacos. Entrées evoke the Seven Seas with the likes of Louisiana redfish with lump crab, an Asian barbecue salmon with peanut-studded slaw, and Parmesan-crusted lemon sole. There is a short steak and chicken menu (think filets, rib-eyes and breasts with optional hollandaise or béarnaise), and sides include broccolini with lemon and garlic, truffled mac ‘n’ cheese, and sautéed Monterrey-style sweet corn. Pleasant outdoor seating is a plus, weather permitting. |
