Situated on more than 60 acres amid rice paddies and plantations in northern Thailand, this sumptuous property offers a luxurious taste of Asian history and culture. Discerning guests from around the world come here for the traditional Lanna architecture, cuisine and spa. But it's The Oriental Culinary Academy that attracts those who want to learn about the rich food culture of Thailand. Featuring individual cooking stations, the kitchen classroom is equipped for no more than twenty students at a time. Morning classes include a local market tour, while afternoon classes culminate in a four-course dinner. Daily rotating classes range from Discovering Thai Herbs to Traditional Northern Thai Cuisine. Special programs are available for kids age five to twelve.
