Filling out a little corner pocket on Stanhope Street, 33 shot to local fame thanks to its design---and has gone forgotten by foodies, if not by night-crawlers, since. It was the first in town to sport color-changing LED panels along its bar and on its stairwell; now they’re practically cliché. And while the lounge downstairs continues in the clubby vein, with ottoman stools and thumping grooves, the often empty upstairs dining room beyond the bar abides by the standard urban code---all exposed brick and angular minimalism. The chefs have changed and the menu seems to be finding its feet. You'll find everything from pasta to seafood to Tahitian tuna tartare; you can't go wrong with a signature cocktail, though.
